Released as the Vans #36 in 1977, the Vans Old Skool was the very first style to feature the now iconic Vans sidestripe (called the "Jazz Stripe" in those days). Before long, the Old Skool was rivalling the Authentic for the title of Vans' most iconic shoe and by the 1980s the shoe was worn by everyone from pro skaters to rock stars, hip hop heads and celebrities. Collaborations with the likes of Supreme and Stussy were some of the industry in the sneaker industry and only elevated the cult status of the Old Skool as a legendary shoe in the Vans archive.
