About the brand
ON was the brainchild of professional, three-time world duathlon champion and multiple Ironman winner, Olivier Bernhard. His retirement mission was to create the perfect running trainer with the idea that a cushioned landing but firm take-off would create the perfect running sensation.
It was this idea that convinced friends Caspar Coppetti and David Allemann to join him in launching the ON brand in January 2010. From small beginnings in Zürich, Switzerland they set out to change the world of running.
Are ON Sustainable?
The CleanCloud
- The process starts with LanzaTach capturing carbon emissions from industrial sources.
- Then they convert emissions into liquid ethanol using a fermentation process.
- The ethanol is then dehydrated turning it into ethylene gas, which is then polymerized by Borealis to create EVA pellets.
- ON then uses this EVA to engineer high-performance foam cushioning for running shoes: CleanCloud.
What's the difference between Cloudswift and Cloud 5 on running trainers?
