The Legacy of the Vans Sk8-Hi
The Sk8-Hi is quite possibly one of Vans’ most iconic styles. The first high-top designed for skateboarding, the Sk8-Hi is both simple and stylish in design, with the coveted Sidestripe making them distinctively Vans. With 2016 marking 50 years of Vans, the brand has joined up with a number of iconic personalities to commemorate the Sk8-Hi; a shoe that looks just as good today as it did in its 1978 beginning.
In this campaign, skateboarding legend, Steve Caballero, Grammy nominated artist Syd The Kid, Vans skate team rider Lizzie Armanto, punk rock icon Henry Rollins, celebrated artist and animator Jay Howell, international model Natalie Westling and professional surfer and Vans team rider Wade Goodall showcase their interpretation of the iconic shoe.
Each with completely different looks and personalities, this campaign shows just how the Sk8-Hi can suit every style, age and gender – proving that this shoe will truly stand the test of time.
