The return off the ugg boot

Whether you love them or hate them, there's no denying that the UGG boot is back on trend. Spotted on the feet of celebrities and fashion influencers as a go-to choice of footwear. Loved for their comfort and 00s throwback style, UGG boots have been the stand-out trend of the season. We're not surprised Lyst reported since September searches for the brand have seen a steep increase.

After seeing our favourite style inspirations championing the label, we saw the mini and ultra mini styles on the feet of many fashionista faces, Emily Ratajkowski, Irina Shayk to name a few as well as the fluff slippers being a common favourite. Here's why we're loving the return of the UGG boot and what UGG boot trends to know about...

#1 Comfort

Some would argue that comfort is UGG's unique selling point, with no other footwear brand coming close to the snugness of their wool lining and cosy sheepskin composition. UGG boots also come in a selection of lengths starting from ankle to higher sock styles to keep you warm in the winter months. With the majority of us working from home this year and for the foreseeable, UGG's easy slip on boots and slippers have been our most worn WFH item.

#2 Collaborations

UGG has come a long way since the designs most familiar to us. Not only offering us the standard shape and style of the classic boot. UGG has continued to innovate in the last decade through a list of successful collaborations. Working together with some of fashion's most relevant and sought-after designers including BAPE, Neighbourhood and British womenswear label Molly Goddard. Known for her maximalist and bold designs, at SS21 London Fashion Week, models walking the Molly Goddard runway with her collaboration with UGG on their feet. Featuring chunky soles and fluffy slippers complimenting UGG's progressive style.

#3 Quality

Not only are we loving the return of the UGG boot for its guaranteed comfort and classic style, but for the longevity in both fashion and quality. The boots are made from water resistant suede uppers pre-treated to protect from water and stains. The cushioned insole is also enhanced with sheepskin sock to naturally defend against moisture and keep feet dry and warm. The sole is also finished with a lightweight, flexible sole, offering increased cushioning, traction, durability and flexibility. UGG also offers a range of care products to ensure you keep your pair of UGG's box fresh for as long as possible.
