Five Shoe Trends from London Fashion Week AW16
London Fashion Week is over for another season, but that doesn’t mean we’re not excited about the trends we can look forward to for Autumn/Winter ’16. Feminine, glamorous but with an injection of punk and grunge that London is known for, next season is fresh and exciting – and we can’t wait. Here are our top five shoe trends from LFW AW16.
At Le Kilt, the creeper was back, worn with kilts, huge safety pins and sheer ankle socks that created a boarding school-meets-punk look we wish we could pull off. Get the look now with platform loafers and brogues from Grenson and H Shoes by Hudson.
The metallic shoe trend continues into AW16 with silver ankle boots at Eudon Choi and gold pointy heels at Huishan Zhang. Worn with pastels and navy, these shoes were statement-making with being too in-your-face. Get the look now with Senso mules, Superga trainers and Loeffler Randall sandals.
Chelsea boots are going nowhere fast, as Pringle of Scotland showed us this season. This time they’re flat and a little bit grungy rather than slim and ladylike. Get the look now with boots from Knutsford by Tricker’s and Dr. Martens.
Gucci set the trend for the fuzzy, fur-covered shoe back in AW15 and it’s a trend that’s set to continue. This season, it’s slightly more refined, with Eudon Choi adding a layer of fluff to the tops of heels and the toes of boots. Get the look now with shearling-lined Senso sandals.
Not a Chelsea boot kind of girl? Belstaff led the way this season with tough, lace-up biker boots in patent leather – worn with motocross-inspired leather and block colour coats. Get the look now with boots from UGG Australia, Dr. Martens and H Shoes by Hudson.
