2015’s Best Women’s Shoe Trends
2015 was definitely the year of the shoe. Gone were just the normcore selection of sliders and simple white trainers and in came an influx of everything from embellished retro-inspired heels to futuristic PVC sock boots and flats covered in fur.
The most stylish flat of the year, the pointed shoe was seen on every catwalk from Balenciaga to Michael Kors and Valentino. This style shows no sign of going any time soon, so it’s a great shoe to invest in for 2016 too.
Dior led the way with acrylic heels this year, sparking off one of 2015’s biggest shoe trend. Perfect worn with boyfriend jeans and a knit or a light dress in summer, these shoes will always make a statement.
For 2015, the simple slider was covered in fur for a fashion-forward update. Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci and Maison Martin Margiela all doused their flats in fur this year but for a simpler take on the trend, look no further than these shearling-lined sandals from Senso (now with 60% off too).
Gold, silver and copper; metallics were on found on shoes at the likes of Prada, Acne and YMC, and are set to be one of 2016’s biggest trends too.
